Spraying Systems Announces Teejet Sprayer Upgrade Program

 November, 1997

Wheaton, IL -- Farmers and custom applicators can dramatically improve the precision and sophistication of their crop sprayers for a very modest investment under a new plan developed by Spraying Systems Co.

With the TeeJetŪ Sprayer Upgrade Program, sprayer owners who purchase a new TeeJet sprayer controller and TeeJet electric ball valve manifold will receive a free set of 360-series multiple nozzle bodies for their sprayer booms.

"With state-of-the art controls, valves and nozzle bodies, a conventional crop sprayer becomes a different, much more technologically-advanced machine. It offers the operator greater precision, accuracy, efficiency and flexibility than a conventional sprayer," says Richard Gould, director of TeeJet Technologies, the electronics group at Spraying Systems Co.

"Under the TeeJet Sprayer Upgrade Program, the spray applicator can modify an existing sprayer that is in good condition for a relatively small investment," Gould says.

The 360-series nozzle bodies let an operator install up to five nozzles at each nozzle outlet on the boom. This allows operators to install nozzles suitable

for several types of applications, as well as a duplicate set of the most commonly used nozzles, prior to the spray season. The operator then merely rotates the nozzle body to the correct nozzle when he moves to a new application, or if a nozzle gets clogged.

The new TeeJet 440 manifold is a set of three to five ball valves mounted together in a series. The system dramatically simplifies the plumbing of the sprayer and reduces the number of hose connections. Ball valves are highly reliable and provide higher pressure and flow capabilities than other styles, according to Gould.

Spraying Systems Co. manufactures and markets the TeeJet 844 and 855 sprayer controllers. "The 844 model is highly sophisticated and remarkably simple to use. For example, nozzle settings are color-coded to help simplify programming, " Gould says. "The 855 provides a range of capability not available in other sprayer controllers, including both flow and pressure regulating capability."

The TeeJet Sprayer upgrade offer is available through sprayer manufacturers and dealers that carry TeeJet products. Forms inside the controller and valve packages provide instructions on obtaining the free nozzle bodies.

Spraying Systems Co. markets a complete range of sprayer components under the TeeJet brand. These include spray nozzles, quick-attach nozzle bodies, valves, spray guns, electronic controls and other products widely used in agriculture and horticulture.
