KENNEWICK, WA How can farmers, ranchers, and rural communities prosper in the new energy economy? Where are the best opportunities in wind power, solar technologies, geothermal, small hydro, biomass or biofuels, upgrading to energy efficient equipment? What financing, technical expertise and partners are available to help?
A host of experts will provide answers to these questions and many more at the 10th annual Harvesting Clean Energy conference, held February 7 9, 2010 at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, WA. Farmers, ranchers and rural communities throughout the Pacific Northwest can learn how to make renewable energy like wind, biofuels and solar a profitable new crop. Clean energy offers real opportunities to attract new investment, produce new income, create local jobs and reduce the amount of money draining out of the local economy to pay for energy produced elsewhere.
The conference kicks-off with a keynote address from U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell of Washington State and a no-host Super Bowl party later that day.
Harvesting Clean Energy attracts rural landowners and a variety of professionals from agriculture organizations, rural utilities, tribes, economic development agencies, lending institutions, energy developers and consultants, food processors, research institutions, and federal, state and local governments.
Featured speakers include:
U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell
Dave Kolsurd, CEO of DAK Renewable Energy
Richard Wynne, Director of Geopolitical and Policy Analysis, Boeing Commercial Airplanes
